Từ vựng về Du Lịch rất hay gặp

- abroad (level: intermediate)
in a foreign country
Ex: He left his country at the age of 30 when he got a job abroad.

- trip (level: pre-intermediate)
a journey, usually short, in which you go to a particular place and come back home again
Ex: Tom is on a business trip in France, he won’t be back until Saturday.


- service (level: intermediate)
the act of providing customers with goods or taking their orders for a particular amount of money
Ex: I visit this hotel quite often, because it has a very professional service.

- travel agency (level: intermediate)
a company that arranges travels for people
Ex: I seldom visit travel agencies. It is cheaper for me to arrange holidays on my own.

- favourite (level: pre-intermediate)
best liked
My favourite colour is green.

- means of transport (level: intermediate)
a way of travelling (by car, ship, plane, train, bus, ferry, bike, etc.)
Ex: Plane is the fastest but still the most expensive means of transport.

- ferry (level: advanced)
a large boat or ship that takes passengers and their vehicles across an area of water, e.g. to an island
Ex: They are going to build a bridge to the island, but now you can get there by ferry only.

- seasick (level: upper intermediate)
feeling sick because of the movement of the ship
Ex: If it is not necessary to travel by ship, I simply don’t. I always feel seasick immediately after the ship sets off.

- board (level: upper intermediate)
on a boat, train or plane
Ex: As soon as we were on board, the plane took off.

- driver’s license (level: upper intermediate)
official permission to drive a car that you get after passing a driving test; also a document that showing that you have passed this test
Ex: He had to pay an extremely high fine for driving without his driver’s license.

- plane (level: pre-intermediate)
a vehicle with wings, designed to travel by air
Ex: I simply cannot travel by plane, because I am afraid of heights and I immediately get sick.

- airline (level: intermediate)
a business established to carry passengers by plane
I’m not satisfied with the airline. There was a 50 minute delay and the return flight was cancelled.

- hitchhike (level: upper intermediate)
to travel by someone else’s vehicles for free
Ex: It’s rather dangerous to hitchhike. You never know whom you will meet.

- foreign (level: intermediate)
related to a country which is not your own
Ex: She loves her job, because it gives her numerous opportunities to visit foreign countries.

- sightseeing (level: upper intermediate)
visiting interesting places, usually by tourists on holiday
We were given a lot of free time in Madrid to go shopping or sightseeing.

- mountains (level: intermediate)
a group of large hills
Ex: I’d like to visit Rocky Mountains in the USA.

- seaside (level: intermediate)
the area close to the sea where many tourists spend their holiday
Ex: Her husband hates lying on the beach in the heat. He always objects to spending his holidays at the seaside.

- experience (level: intermediate)
to feel something that happens to you
They’ve never experienced a greater loss since the death of their brother.

- hostility (level: upper intermediate)
unfriendliness, because somebody doesn’t agree with or like somebody/something
Ex: I’ve never experienced any hostility from my co-workers. I get on with them very well.

- cuisine (level: upper intermediate)
a particular style of cooking typical for a country or a region
Ex: I love Japanese cuisine, especially sushi.

- unusual (level: intermediate)
different from somebody or something in an interesting way
Ex: Women taking up high positions in companies are not as unusual as in the past.

- journey (level: pre-intermediate)
travelling from one place to another
Ex: It’s just a two hour plane journey from here to Paris.

- voyage (level: intermediate)
a long journey, especially by ship
Ex: Although her father is a sailor, she’s never been on a voyage with him.
